Dragoon poster by Grebo-Guru Dragoon poster by Grebo-Guru
Here's a poster image for International Electric corporation's full-body replacement military-model cyborg, the Dragoon. It was featured in Chromebook 2, a supplement for Cyberpunk 2020 -- one of my alltime favorite roleplaying games.

"Personally, they give me the creeps. It's like standing next to a 7 foot, steel-encased, cannon-toting basket case. Give me your good old-fashioned armed nuclear weapon any day."
- Infantry Sgt. James R. Teal

(Full disclosure: the image in the background is composited from two different photos I snagged off of Google Images.)

Anyway, the Dragoon and the quote are copyright and trademark and all that R. Talsorian Games, Inc. No infringement intended, etc.

I just remembered an urban legend of a dungeon master who got... disturbed by a player who did something what made the dungeon master to say: "Shut up, or I send a dragon against you!"
This urban legend gave me an alternative idea in Cyberpunk style the GM might say; "Shut up, or I send a Sikorvsky-Mitsubishi Dragon filled with 1-5 Dragoons at you!"
Sounds like a doomsday isn't it?

hahahaha! Wow, yeah, that would be horrifying. Not sure what a player could do in that situation... other than RUN AWAAAAAAYYYYYY

Yes, that's IF they manage to run FAST enough... *evil laugh*

I think the changes against the Dragon alone is that the group has to be, at least, Solos with every skill in 10's... And lots of destructive weapons...

Dragoon; full borg I want to be, but don't want to face on the battlefields...

I have myself bought the rulesbook and Chrome books 1-4. And I'm also seeking some players... Finland is so small country, but it's still hard to find players...
So do you guys have any hints what might help?

Hmmmm. Finland, eh? Well, I can honestly say I have no experience with your lovely country. I guess using internet message boards would be helpful. There are many sites dedicated to finding players and games. And there are many sites dedicated to Cyberpunk 2020 as well.

I recall something about how the rules regarding cyber-psychosis worked:
"Parts is parts"...
You had a stat called, Empathy that enabled you to be a normal to noble human being.
As you took cyberware, you would loose empathy. Something about how all that metal still didn't meet the needs of the organic systems, might be slightly toxic, and The interface between the tech and the nervous system was still VERY far from perfect.
"Metal is better than Meat"...
All the feeling, little itching, and such- gone or wrong. Meanwhile, a relentless digital beat kept shocking your nerves with electromagnetic jolts, all the way up into your brain...

Too much cyberware and your body and mind disintegrate, you have become a cyberpsycho.

as for Full Conversion cyborgs- the empathy penalties were reduced by a degree- not much, but just enough to make things interesting. Sure you could play a Full Conversion Cyborg, but that put you way over the bleeding edge of chrome chombatta!

I allowed a player to survive a horrible death and brought them back as a Gemini FBC cyborg. The ones that looked as human as possible. His insurance, med-evac card, and connections had paid off; the only hitch was, He was property...
